a program for everyone

cub scouts

grade k to age 10

Cub Scouts do fun things with other kids! They get to wear a cool uniform, go places, and see things. They play all kinds of sports and build things, like race cars and bird houses. Want to learn a secret code? Want to learn about wild animals? Go Cub Scouting!

Boy scouts

age 11 to age 18

With more than 130 Merit Badges—from Archery and Art to Welding and Wilderness Survival—Scouting is the ultimate form of learning by doing. Add in outdoor adventures, hiking and camping, and Scouting gives boys all the experience they need to become men.

co-ed program for older teens

All teens have one—a moment that opens their eyes to a world that’s bigger than they ever imagined. It might happen while paddling a quiet lake, bonding with new friends around a beach bonfire, or rising to the challenge of leading an exhausted crew to the edges of adventure. Venturing gives young men and women access to a range of programs and empowers them to create their own experiences.

What do Scouts do?

Scouts DO!

You name it, Scouts do it. There are many fun-filled activities that take place at our weekly meetings, and on our monthly outings. Scouts learn life skills such as first-aid, nature, outdoors skills, cooking, conservation, mechanics, swimming, safe boating and many more. Citizenship is one of the foundations of the Scouting program. Scouts learn about government, their community, and become active with service and volunteerism. As Scouts develop leadership skills, they may be asked to help in more of a leadership role in their community or events. Each Scout has special interests, and there are over 200 activity pins, merit badges, awards, and special recognitions that can be earned.

OK, how do I become a Scout?

Becoming a Scout is easy. If you are in (or near) Upper Township, you can fill out the contact form and one of our leaders will be in touch. If not from Upper Township, you can visit www.BeAscout.org and you will be matched with a unit near you.

Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts meet Wednesday nights at 7PM, in the Primary School. You can simply drop by anytime and see what's going on, or to join in! We love to meet new people and make new friends. Everyone is welcome!
